The Bellows Vacuum Sucker Zp-10 is a professional pneumatic accessory for manipulators, made of high-quality silicone rubber, suitable for various material handling scenarios such as adsorption of smooth surfaces, irregular surfaces, and fragile workpieces. The following is a detailed usage method to ensure safe and stable operation.

1. Pre-Installation Preparation

  • Check the product integrity: Before use, carefully inspect the Zp-10 vacuum sucker, confirm that the silicone rubber bellows has no cracks, damages, or aging phenomena, and the connecting thread (or interface) is intact without deformation or damage.
  • Match the accessories: Prepare the corresponding connecting parts (such as connecting rods, adapters) according to the model of the manipulator and the vacuum system, ensuring that the interface size of the sucker matches the connecting parts to avoid air leakage.
  • Clean the working surface: Wipe the surface of the workpiece to be adsorbed and the suction surface of the sucker with a clean cloth, remove dust, oil stains, water stains, and other debris. If there are sharp protrusions on the workpiece surface, avoid direct adsorption to prevent damage to the sucker.
  • Check the vacuum system: Confirm that the vacuum pump, solenoid valve, vacuum filter, and other components of the pneumatic system are in normal operation, and the air circuit is unobstructed without air leakage.

2. Installation Steps

  • Connect the sucker to the manipulator: Screw the Zp-10 vacuum sucker into the connecting rod or adapter of the manipulator through the connecting thread (pay attention to the tightening degree, not too tight to avoid damaging the thread, nor too loose to cause air leakage).
  • Connect the vacuum pipeline: Connect one end of the vacuum pipeline to the air inlet of the sucker, and the other end to the vacuum outlet of the vacuum system. Use pipe clamps to fix the pipeline joint to ensure firm connection and no air leakage.
  • Adjust the installation angle: According to the shape and placement of the workpiece, adjust the installation angle of the sucker so that the suction surface of the sucker can be completely attached to the workpiece surface when adsorbing, ensuring that the adsorption force is evenly distributed.
  • Test the connection: Turn on the vacuum system briefly, check whether there is air leakage at the joint of the sucker, pipeline, and manipulator. If air leakage is found, re-tighten the joint or replace the damaged seal.

3. Operation Steps

  • Start the vacuum system: Turn on the vacuum pump and adjust the vacuum degree to the appropriate range (it is recommended to adjust according to the weight and material of the workpiece, generally 0.06-0.08MPa; for fragile workpieces, reduce the vacuum degree appropriately to avoid damaging the workpiece).
  • Position the sucker: Control the manipulator to move the Zp-10 sucker to the position of the workpiece, and make the suction surface of the sucker completely fit the workpiece surface (ensure that there is no gap between the sucker and the workpiece, so as to avoid affecting the adsorption effect).
  • Adsorb the workpiece: Keep the sucker attached to the workpiece, and the vacuum system will automatically maintain the vacuum degree. After confirming that the workpiece is firmly adsorbed (no loosening or falling), control the manipulator to move the workpiece to the designated position.
  • Release the workpiece: When the workpiece is moved to the target position, close the vacuum system or control the solenoid valve to cut off the vacuum supply, and the sucker will automatically release the workpiece. Wait for the workpiece to be stably placed before moving the manipulator away.
  • Continuous operation: Repeat the above steps for continuous material handling. During the operation, pay attention to observing the adsorption state of the sucker and the operation of the vacuum system.

4. Daily Maintenance & Precautions

Daily Maintenance

  • Regular cleaning: After each use, wipe the suction surface of the sucker with a clean cloth to remove debris such as dust and oil stains, and avoid debris adhering to the sucker affecting the adsorption effect.
  • Check the silicone rubber: Regularly inspect the silicone rubber bellows of the sucker. If aging, cracking, or deformation is found, replace the sucker in time to avoid adsorption failure.
  • Maintain the vacuum system: Regularly clean the vacuum filter to prevent blockage; check the vacuum pump and solenoid valve, and add lubricating oil according to the requirements to ensure the normal operation of the system.
  • Storage: When the sucker is not used for a long time, clean it thoroughly, dry it, and store it in a cool, dry, and dust-free environment to avoid sunlight, high temperature, and corrosion, which will affect the service life of the silicone rubber.

Precautions

  • Do not exceed the rated vacuum degree: The Zp-10 sucker has a specified maximum vacuum bearing capacity. It is strictly prohibited to adjust the vacuum degree beyond the rated range, otherwise, the sucker may be damaged or the workpiece may be crushed.
  • Avoid adsorbing high-temperature workpieces: The silicone rubber material of the sucker is not resistant to high temperature. Do not use it to adsorb workpieces with a surface temperature exceeding 80°C, so as to avoid melting or aging of the silicone rubber.
  • Do not use in corrosive environment: Avoid using the sucker in an environment with corrosive gas or liquid, which will corrode the silicone rubber and the connecting parts, affecting the service life and adsorption effect.
  • Prevent sharp objects from scratching: Do not let the suction surface of the sucker come into contact with sharp objects (such as blades, nails), so as to avoid scratching the silicone rubber and causing air leakage.
  • Do not disassemble the sucker at will: Do not disassemble the structure of the sucker without permission, so as to avoid damaging the internal seal and affecting the use effect.
  • Check before use: Before each use, must check the sucker and the vacuum system, and start the operation only after confirming that there is no abnormality, so as to avoid safety accidents caused by adsorption failure.
